<h2 id="before-school">升小一前：先觀察可參與的基礎，不追求全部學完</h2>
可先看孩子是否願意聽完短指令、能跟著說熟悉字詞、注意到聲音不同、從少量符號中找相同形狀，以及在大格子中模仿簡單線條。這些是參與活動的觀察，不是入學門檻或注音能力測驗。
官方課程文件將注音的認念、拼讀、書寫與應用放在第一學習階段，並說明注音與識字會循環協助；沒有要求每位孩子入學前先完成全部內容。〔來源 1〕〔來源 2〕
開學後：跟著老師與課本，每天只練一個目標
先確認這週正在學的符號、字詞與拼讀方式，再從下面選一項：重聽兩個字音、找三個符號、拼兩個熟悉字、比較一組聲調，或寫一個符號。完成事先說好的小範圍就結束，不臨時加題。
依現在的情況找下一步
還沒開學
以熟悉聲音、跟著做與願意開始為主。閱讀「小一開學前需要先學會注音嗎？」及五項學習任務地圖，不急著進完整課次。
已開學，想配合進度
以老師當週內容為準，選同一課次的少量字詞。若課堂和家庭使用的拼讀順序不同，先跟隨老師的說法。
已經開始卡關
不要只增加題量。會背卻拼不起來、二三聲互換、書寫慢或練習抗拒，各自有不同的觀察頁；先定位需要提示的步驟，再選方法。
一週短練習範例
- 第一天：只重聽與跟讀本週熟悉字詞。
- 第二天：找符號或排完整音節。
- 第三天：比較一組容易混淆的聲音或聲調。
- 第四天：寫一個正在學的符號，不計時。
- 第五天：回到前幾天需要提示的 2 至 3 題。
這不是固定課表；若學校進度、作業量或孩子狀態不同，可減少、跳過或換成共讀。
何時詢問老師
不確定目前課次、家庭提示方式與課堂不同、孩子持續在同一步驟停住，或練習已造成明顯挫折時，記下具體字詞、任務與給過的提示，帶去和老師討論。
